This thread's information isn't exactly imperative, so please feel free to skip it for now and come back to it if you get bored later. I mostly wrote this for fun.
In October of 2015, I was dealing with a (human) family member's death for the first time. I'd come up with some interesting ideas while reading the Oedipus trilogy for English class, and was toying with the idea of making them into a forum. A few days later, that family member died, and I made WI some time after as a coping mechanism and a release for the ideas that I'd had.
I wanted to make a Warriors forum that kept enough of the books' beloved features (Clans, naming traditions, etc.) in tact while throwing in some things I'd seen before or thought of on my own. I came up with some basic outlines of the Clans and a couple of their unique bits. I created the forum after talking to some friends/staff members from another forum of mine, and several of them came on over, claiming Clans and editing, building on, and coming up with wonderful ideas for their own Clans (Cielo with OceanClan, Ice with BreezeClan, and Vega with CavernClan. Ambrose and @catwithorangefruit were the other awesome people we dragged over here).
WI's purpose is fairly simple: We want to make new friends and have fun roleplaying. Most Warriors forums don't make it very far, as there are too many of them, not enough staff (or member, as the case sometimes is) dedication, and the majority of them are the same thing rehashed without anything new to offer. Given the amount of forums I've run, I've had all of these faults at one time or another, so I definitely understand them. However, I want to see Warriors' Island get far this time, and since it'll be my main focus forum-wise, I'm hoping that, together, we can become a well-known Warriors RP, make memories, and have fun.
Beyond all of that, I wanted to offer other Warriors fans an interesting twist on the series, with discussion and a good opportunity to make friends thrown in. I wanted to give people the ability to take a basic setting and mold it over time with their characters and plots. I want to see everyone on this forum make a difference in the things that happen in the roleplay here. In years to come, when this place is merely a memory, it'll be awesome for us to look back and see everything that changed over time, all because of the great minds that worked on it.
I'm Shiloh. I've been roleplaying and running forums since 2011. I spend a lot of time playing games, watching shows on Netflix, and hanging out with my friends.
Staff-wise, I'm most skilled in navigating ProBoards, dealing with unruly members, and leading and making changes.
I'm the least skilled with any sort of artsy design type thing, coding, and dealing with applications (mostly because I hate doing it after 5 years, but it's part of my job so I deal with it).
I'm Ambrose, but Ambi, Avala, or Ruth will do equally fine c: Surprisingly, this is only my second roleplay site, though I've been roleplaying for almost two years now. I found myself quit before as it became stressful, but now I feel perfectly refreshed and ready to plot! Like Shiloh, I play video games a lot. I also love reading, cooking, and learning languages! I speak English and Irish (seeing as I'm from Ireland) and I am learning French and Portuguese.
I'm a typically friendly person and I have a really high drive to help people, so I hope that I'll be able to help many of you out. As for my weaknesses, I, too, am really poor at art. I also find myself burning out quickly - I'll work very hard for a short period of time, and then I won't work for another while.
Anyway, that's me! Please don't be afraid to send me a PM or anything, to ask a question or to just be friends.
Yo, I'm Ice, I have been roleplaying for almost three short years, but in those three years I have had to joy of being apart of four different sites and this gem is one of them. I have been a staff member for three of the four, where I will be honest I do not take misconduct lightly. I can respect a healthy amount of silly, but maturity for me is very important. I am currently a third year college student studying zoology, therefore very busy. Although busy I still love to write, read, and party.
Hi, I'm Vega, but some staff may call me Wolf. I've been roleplaying since 2009 on many different types of forums, as well as administrating and aiding with the running of some as well. I'm a first year college student studying Child and Youth Social Work, so I might be busy a lot of the time, but I'll still be around!
I'm generally into coding and art, but I also like discussing things like politics. I'm rather friendly but like Ice, maturity is a big necessity for me. I can be snappy but don't take it personally!
Heya, folks! The name's Cielo, but you might also know me as Carot. I've been roleplaying since mid-2011 mainly in the feral genres. Reading, writing, and music are my favourite past times, alongside videogaming, and I do have the tendency to drift off that way when I'm replying to threads sometimes.
I'm the only Asian on the team currently, but I don't possess the mythological skills of awesome the West has been associating us with! XD If you have questions at the weirdest of hours, you're likely to find me lurking around I'm more suited to the app-checking aspect of staff duties, as I've found myself lost in navigating ProBoards on more than one occasion. Heh. One of my favourite things for roleplays is coming up with dark plots, many of which include murdering other characters - just ask the other staff, they'll know what I mean.
While I do have my snippety moments, I'm a friendly person, so don't be afraid to shoot me a PM if you need help. c:
